A new live recording of Arlo Guthrie from the summer of 1969 has just surfaced. This performance took place on Long Island in August of ’69, just days before Woodstock. Arlo Guthrie: Tales of ’69 offers a 28 minute talking blues tale as well as three previously unrecorded compositions.

Looking ahead to October, Guthrie will tour with three generations of family members. The Guthrie Family Rides Again shows will open with a three night stand at the Old Trinity Church in Housatonic, MA on October 2 and cross the country, with confirmed dates announced through May. Guthrie also will headline a number of his own shows over the summer, with his next gig on June 6 in Birmingham with the Alabama Symphony.
