With Phish summer tour set to open next week and thousands of fans expected to hit the road with the group, Reverb and the Waterwheel Foundation have offered up an online resource that aims to limit the environmental impact. Traveling Light: The Green Guide To Phish Touring outlines the band’s efforts such as: B20 Biodiesel in all tour buses and trucks, Extensive backstage waste reduction and recycling program, Green Crew parking lot recycling program, Reusable water bottles for band and crew and Carbon offsets to neutralize all CO2 emissions from touring fleet, air travel, hotel accommodations, and venue energy use. In turn the sites offers a number of corresponding suggestions for fans out on tour. What’s more, a Phish Ride Share Program has been established, and folks who participate will have an opportunity to win free digital downloads with twenty winners selected for each show.
