The 2008 Gathering of the Vibes will open its gates tomorrow to Weekend Pass holders. Folks preparing to attend the festival should think about participating in the non-perishable food and hygiene item drive, with proceeds directed to the Bridgeport Office of Veterans Affairs Food Pantry and the Bridgeport Department on Aging Food Pantry. Acceptable high demand non-perishable items include: baby formula, baby food, canned vegetables, macaroni & cheese, pasta and sauce, canned soups and canned non-perishable meat. Folks who donate will be eligible for a number of prizes, while the individual who provides the largest donation by weight will score a pair of tickets to the 2009 Vibes. The primary food and hygiene drive collection station will be located in the Non-Profit Organization Village within East Camping with an unstaffed donation station located in West Camping.
