Tuesday night, Michael Kang collaborator Lorin Ashton, who is best known by his DJ alias Bassnectar, played a show at Burlington, VT’s annual Jazz Festival. Ashton performed at Mixed Bag Productions’ Jazzfest Showcase, which included an overlapping set with fellow electronic sensation Panda Watch. Rising Burlington hip-hop act S.I.N. & LEE also sat in on a ten minute improvisation. Bassnectar will perform at Baltimore, MD’s Mosaic tonight. The show is free before 11 PM. Bassnectar recently released his latest album, Underground Communication, on OM Records.
