Skinjer, a new project featuring Addison Groove Projects Dave Adams, Ben Groppe, Andrew Keith and Rob Marscher, will kickoff its first weekend run tonight at Hoboken, NJs Maxwells. In addition to a number of new songs the quartet promises to deliver a handful of AGP-originals with Groppe switching from woodwinds to bass and Adams handling lead vocals. As previously reported, Skinjer will also perform tomorrow at South Burlington, VTs Higher Ground and on February 3 at Northampton, MAs Iron Horse Music Hall. AGP proper has also recently confirmed a two-night stand at New Yorks CODA on February 17 and 18, as well as appearances in Saratoga Springs (3/31) and South Burlington, VT (4/1). As for the bands moniker, Skinjer is the middle name of AGP bassist John Hall, who passed away in November 2004.
