Last night, John Mayer continued his venture into the blues, once again jamming with guitar-icon Buddy Guy. In the past two years, Guy and Mayer have collaborated on several occasions, including a memorable duet at this year’s Jammy Awards (which included Phil Lesh to boot). While performing a free show at New York’s Tribeca Performing Arts Center, Guy invited Mayer out for five selections, including Otis Redding’s ‘I Can’t Turn You Loose.’ Buddy Guy’s tour continues tomorrow to the south at Jacksonville’s Florida Theatre.
