Mike Gordon joined Brandon “Taz” Niederauer on stage at the Essex Experience Green in Essex Junction, Vt., July 13. The Phish bassist jammed with Taz for almost nine minutes covering Son Seals’ “Funky Bitch.” Gordon, no stranger to the track, usually handles the vocals but the 18-year-old took the reins for this collaboration, and did so well. The two exchanged licks and riffs while facing one another and created a fine and fresh rendition of the beloved track.
Gordon joined Old Crow Medicine Show with his daughter Tessa on stage at Higher Grounds in Burlington, Vt. last Thursday, July 8. Read more here.
