Yo La Tengo will alter their annual Hanukkah tradition for the COVID-19 era, scaling back their usual eight-night, guest-filled extravaganza to a single night livestream.

The band has booked the final night of Hanukkah – Dec. 18 – for the special event, kicking off at 8 p.m. ET with “a surprise opening musical act” at The Greene Space at WNYC followed by “a comedic performance, and a set by Yo La Tengo.”

Ticket sales will benefit the National Independent Venue Association.

If you can’t make the Dec. 18 stream, the band will rebroadcast the performance for ticketholders on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET.
