The Psychedelic Arts and Culture Trust will commemorate the Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary this December with a coupled offering of music and art. The first event is billed as a one-night-only concert from Grateful Dead supergroup White Lightning, on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at the Bodhi Hive in Nevada City, Calif., followed by an art show featuring original works used as poster and album art on Saturday, Dec. 6, at The Chambers Project in Grass Valley, Calif.

Both occasions aim to honor the band’s tie-dyed identity, beginning with songs performed by Dead supergroup, White Lightning, featuring Grahame Lesh, Peter Harris, Pete Sears, Barry Sless, John Molo, Elliot Peck, and George Michalski. The next evening, an array of original works of art created for band posters and album covers will be on display in Grass Valley.

The art exhibition will pull in original work by the great Rick Griffin, who designed the band’s iconic Aoxomoxoa cover art and adorned Without a Net. Also included are Bill Walker’s acclaimed Anthem of the Sun renderings, acid test posters designed by Paul Foster and colored by Owsley “Bear” Stanley, the original Skeleton Amidst Roses illustration, and more.

The art show, presented by Chambers Project Gallery and PACT: Psychedelic Arts and Culture Trust, will be on display through June 1, 2026. For more information, including tickets to White Lightning’s performance on Dec. 5, follow this link.
