Arlo Guthrie will celebrate Independence Day close to home at The Church in Housatonic, MA. One of the locations which inspired Guthries most famous composition, the ‘Alices Restaurant Massacree, The Church has been home to the Guthrie Cultural Center since 1991 and was featured in the Alices Restaurant film-adaptation. After shelving Alices Restaurant for several years, Guthrie recently broke out his famous anti-war song at a bar in Niederwald, TX. Guthrie will perform Alices Restaurant tonight through Sunday in Housatonic, MA and as part of the Alice’s Restaurant 40th Anniversary Massacree Tour throughout the year
