As previously reported, Umphrey’s McGee will release its third studio album , Safety In Numbers. In addition to art work by Storm Thorgeson, the disc will also feature appearances from Joshua Redman and Huey Lewis, whom Umphrey’s McGee first performed with at last year’s Jammy Awards. In support of Safety In Numbers, Umphrey’s McGee will perform in markets across the country, including a CD release party at Chicago’s Park West on April 3. Other key shows include a two-night stand at San Francisco’s Fillmore Auditorium from April 14-15 and an extremely intimate club gig at New York’s CBGB on April 21 as part of Relix/Pete Shapiro’s Green Apple Festival.
