In a manner befitting the festival, a number of music-themed films will receive some of their first screenings at Bonnaroo. Wetlands Preserved: The Story of an Activist Rock Club, directed by the sites Dean Budnick and featurring music from some of the artists at this years festival (including Blues Traveler, moe., The Disco Biscuits and Robert Randolph & the Family Band) is slated for 10:50PM on Friday night at the Bonnaroo Cinema tent. Earlier that day, Oysterhead bandmates Stewart Copeland and Les Claypool will bring their recent films to the festival and take full advantage of the Dolby Digital Cinema. Claypools Electric Apricot: Quest for Festeroo is scheduled for 1:25PM Friday afternoon (aptly following a screening of This is Spinal Tap). Copelands Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out, follows at 3PM. Other music films include Before The Music Dies which takes a critical and comedic look at the homogenization of popular music (Saturday 5AM, Sunday 1:30PM), The Refugee All Stars which documents how musicians from Sierra Leone, keep their culture alive while living in refugee camps (Sunday 4:15PM) and Press On the documentary that focuses on Robert Randolph (Sunday 2:55PM).
