The plot of last nights NBC sitcom 30 Rock followed Jack Donaghy, one of the show’s characters, as he tried to find a kidney donor for his ailing father. Unable to donate his own kidney, Donaghy organizes an all-star benefit for his dad, humorously dubbed Kidney Now! The We Are The World parody featured cameos from a number of familiar faces, including Elvis Costello, Mary J. Blige, Clay Aiken, Maroon 5s Adam Levine, Sheryl Crow, the Beastie Boys Adam Horovitz and Mike D, Norah Jones, Wyclef Jean, Talib Kweli, Michael McDonald, Rhett Miller, Steve Earle, Moby, Rachael Yamagata and Cyndi Lauper. Singing among those luminaries was former Jambands.com New Groove of the Month Robert Randolph, who took home the New Groove Jammy in 2002. Robert Randolph & the Family Band will appear at Richardson, TXs Galatyn Park on May 17 as part of the Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival.
