Last night, Mike Gordon and his band performed at Asheville , NC’s The Orange Peel. Area-resident, and jamband drumming hero, Jeff Sipe attended the show and sat in with the band a few songs into its set. Sipe emerged for the Bill Monroe/Peter Rowan number “Walls of Time,” a song Gordon has covered on occasion. Gordon and Sipe first shared the stage when the drummer was a member of Aquarium Rescue Unit. Sipe was also a member of Trey Anastasio’s solo band in 2006. Gordon will appear at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse tomorrow.
