Duane Betts sat in with Little Feat on Monday night at Jackson, WY’s Center for the Arts. The guitarist, who lives in the area, ended up appearing on two numbers his father Dickey Betts contributed to the Allman Brothers Band catalog, “Blue Sky” and “Soundbound,” as well as the Little Feat classic “Feats Don’t Fail Me Now.”

“What a nice surprise to come off tour and find out the great Little Feat is playing,” Duane posted after the show. “Always a pleasure, gentlemen. Thanks for having me.”

The Allman Brothers Band and Little Feat are two of the architects of the modern jamband scene, and current Little Feat guitarist Scott Sharrard spent years performing with Gregg Allman before his 2017 passing. Little Feat also recently welcomed another second-generation jamband musician, Grahame Lesh, to the stage while performing in Oakland, CA.

It has been a busy summer for Duane. He released his second solo album, Isle of Hope, in June and sat in with Widespread Panic while they were in Wyoming this in early July. Then, on Wednesday, he performed with his group Palmetto Motel at San Diego’s Music Box and welcomed Steve Poltz to the stage for a bit, including on the Dead’s “Althea.” Palmetto Motel’s tour continues at West Hollywood, CA’s famed Troubadour this evening. The guitarist, who filmed a session at Relix recently, also announced the 2026 dates for the Allman Betts Family Revival earlier this week.
