Octave Cat have confirmed a round of upcoming fall dates. The trio of keyboardist Eli Winderman (Dopapod), bassist/modular-synth player Jesse Miller (Lotus) and drummer Charlie Patierno will kick things off in September, making stops in Ohio, Upstate New York and Pennsylvania, before spending two weeks in the Midwest and Colorado. The musicians will then regroup in December for shows in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Octave Cat, who describe their sound as a blend of “jazz and funk influences with electronic and dance styles moving seamlessly between synths and samples to traditional jazz trio sounds of organ and Wurlitzer,” have released three studio records and several live albums thus far. 

“Octave Cat has been a project for 10 years now and seeing our evolution has been one of the joys of my life. I feel we are doing something very unique combining a wide array of ours influences and explore new branches of the musical tree,” Winderman said when announcing the tour.

Future Joy, Solar Circuit, Luke the Knife—the DJ project of Jesse’s brother, Luke Miller of Lotus—and Natalie Brooke will support the trio at various stops along the way.
