As we reported yesterday, the Tedeschi Trucks Band have cancelled this weekend’s appearance at FloydFest and the Newport Folk Festival as Susan Tedeschi is having surgery to remove her appendix. TTB had been slated to perform at FloydFest on Friday and Newport Folk on Sunday. Both events have made announcements regarding the news.

Newport Folk has confirmed that Father John Misty will now appear on Sunday afternoon. He made his NFF debut in 2013 and also performed a memorable set in 2016. He will appear on the Fort Stage from 2:55-3:40.

FloydFest has indicated that it will confirm a programming change shortly. In the interim the event has made the following announcement:

We know this news is deeply disappointing to many of our patrons. Tedeschi Trucks Band has long been one of the most anticipated performances of FloydFest 26~Daydream, and we share in your disappointment. We also know our community will join us in sending love, support and understanding during this difficult time.
