Widespread Panic have outlined its plans for New Year’s Eve. The band, which has just wrapped up two nights at the Allianz Amphitheater in Richmond, Va., will perform three concerts at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta, beginning on Monday, December 29, and running through Wednesday, December 31.

The group’s impending holiday shows represent a highly anticipated return to form, having previously canceled their 2024 live appearances to give guitarist Jimmy Herring time to focus on his health after receiving a tonsil cancer diagnosis, which resulted in a break from their New Year’s Eve performance tradition.

Notably, in 2023, the Peach State band delivered a multi-night run at the storied Fox Theatre in Atlanta, a longtime venue of great significance to the band, which first performed there in 1993, opening for Col. Bruce Hampton & Aquarium Rescue Unit.

The year prior, in 2022, Widespread Panic took their New Year’s Eve itinerary to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, after previously canceling their 2021 plans to play the Fox due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Leading up to Widespread’s NYE gigs, they will lock in runs in early October at the Mempho Music Festival, followed by a three-night return to the Riverside Theater stage in Milwaukee, Wis., October 24-26. Subsequently, they will celebrate Halloween and follow up the next night, Nov. 1, at the Enmark Arena in Savannah, Ga.

The band’s calendar continues with their arrival at Port Chester, N.Y.’s Capitol Theatre, during the weekend before Thanksgiving, November 21-23. After the group’s pre-Turkey Day performances, they will take a break from the stage until the arrival of their NYE run.

Tickets for the shows go on sale Friday, September 19, at 10 a.m. ET. For more information, visit widespreadpanic.com/shows
