This week, Peach State originators and Nashville-based multi-instrumentalist sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell, otherwise known as Larkin Poe, completed an extensive two-month chapter on the road supporting their own album, Bloom, and concert headliner, Sheryl Crow. During Crow’s tour arrival at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo., she brought out the siblings to help deliver a pair of tunes.

Larkin Poe’s mainframe appearance occurred after an offering of 10 originals from Crow and her band, which included a heavy offering of concert staples, including the Tuesday Night Music Club-derived “Strong Enough,” which beckoned the Lovells’ entrance on “Strong Enough.” For the second half of their sit-in, Megan and Rebecca helped out Crow on her Detours feature, “Out of Our Heads.”

In addition to Larkin Poe’s Mile High arrival with Crow, they also received a Group/Duo of the Year nomination at the Americana Music Association. The pair received the same distinction in 2024, winning the award and a Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Album 2024 for Blood Harmony.
