On April 15 and 16, The Brothers will reunite at Madison Square Garden five years after they first assembled on the legendary stage. Today, as anticipation for the revival soars, the tribute supergroup have partnered with SiriusXM to take over the new Southern Rock channel with exclusive performances and commentary.
The Brothers earned acclaim in 2020 for renewing the Allman Brothers Band’s immortal sound with an all-star cast: Drummer and founding member Jaimoe, guitarist and vocalist Warren Haynes, guitarist Derek Trucks, bassist Oteil Burbridge and percussionist Marc Quiñones. This revered core band of latter-day ABB members will be joined by the Allmans’ original rehearsal keyboardist Reese Wynans and special guest ‘70s era pianist Chuck Leavell, as well as acclaimed drummers and newcomers to The Brothers, Joe Russo and Isaac Eady.
The Brothers’ SiriusXM partnership is streaming now as an in-app exclusive and will air on channel 79 starting next Tuesday, April 8. The month-long series will be host by the Brothers, with programming including iconic recordings from the Allman Brothers Band, plus a mix of other Southern Rock classics and today’s torchbearers like Gov’t Mule and Tedeschi Trucks Band. Beyond intimate commentary from the artists and special guests, each night will bring a special collection of live performances played in their entirety, and The Brothers will join forces at SiriusXM’s New York City studios for an exclusive live set before stepping into the spotlight at The Garden.
The Brothers and SiriusXM’s team-up also includes a giveaway experience, offering one Grand Prize winner a trip for two to New York, a hotel stay, VIP tickets for both shows and a coveted in-studio meet and greet. Enter the giveaway here, and learn more about The Brothers at thebrothersmsg.com.
