On Saturday, July 6, the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration returns to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo. The impending occasion pulls in Jerry Garcia Band members and jam scene favorites to pay tribute to the music of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead’s subsequent 60th anniversary.

The guest roster includes Garcia’s beloved collaborators, Hammond B3 organist and keyboard master Melvin Seals and songstress Jacklyn LaBranch, who performed with the referred guitarist in his self-titled Jerry Garcia Band. The list also features Dead and Company bassist Oteil Burbridge, Widespread Panic percussionist Duane Trucks, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead guitarist Tom Hamilton, and vocalist Lady Chi. Together, they will perform a range of Garcia and Grateful Dead classics, reimagined in a symphonic setting.

The forthcoming symphonic celebration of Garcia and the Dead will arrive after two initial concerts under the same framework and featuring The Boston Pops on June 3 and 4 at Boston’s Symphony Hall. The aforementioned shows will include a similar lineup of participants, only John Morgan Kimock will assume the role in Bean Town, as opposed to Trucks’ inclusion behind the kit.
