On Sunday, Dogs in A Pile made their way to Lake George, NY for an appearance at the Adirondack Independence Music Festival. The quintet delivered a headlining two-set performance at Charles R. Wood Park. Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe was also on the bill and the band’s namesake guested with DIAP. Denson emerged  midway through the opening frame and contributed sax to “My Disguise,” a song that appears on the latest Dogs in A Pile album, 2025’s Distroid.

Dogs in A Pile is off the road until three shows in New England on September 17-19 including a slot at Grace Potter’s Grand Point North festival. Then, the following week, the group will headline a special event at the Cutting Room in New York City. Dog Pound Disco will serve as benefit raising proceeds for The Songs of Love Foundation. This 501(c)(3) organization writes, records and produces free, personalized, original songs to uplift individuals who are currently navigating tough medical, physical, or emotional challenges.

Dog Pound Disco will also honor life coach Connor McEvoy and the memory of Scott Nadboy, a longtime supporter of the Songs of Love Foundation and a Dogs in a Pile enthusiast. The organizers note, “Come and join us on Thursday, September 24th at 7 pm for some new takes on nostalgic songs and experience or re-experience the 70’s, because let’s be honest, if you were living it there’s probably a good chance you don’t remember it, so this will be a fun and new experience for all.” Tickets are now available.
