An all-star collective of soul and R&B artists has announced the impending arrival of The Queens: Four Legends, One Stage, featuring the amalgamated might of Chaka Khan, Patti LeBelle, Gladys Knight, and Stephanie Mills. The impending run includes 11 total stops, parsed out during May and September mainly.
The initial batch of tour dates arrives on May 9. It will take the ensemble of music’s leading ladies to Las Vegas’ Michelob ULTRA Arena before a slate of Golden State follow-ups slated for the Oakland Arena in Oakland, Calif., on May 10 and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum on May 11. Days later, on May 16, the group will bounce across the country for a slot at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, S.C.
Remaining in the country’s Southern region, the songstresses will bring their tour to the Legacy Arena at BJCC in Birmingham, Ala., on May 17 and Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on May 18. The group will arrive in Baltimore next, where they will perform at the CFG Bank Arena on May 23, followed by a night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on May 24.
The musicians’ final late spring concerts will take them to Chicago and Cincinnati before their lone June appearance at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. Khan, LeBelle, Knight, and Mills will take time away from the stage only to resume their touring commitments with ensuing September and early October performances, taking the players back through the Southeast, East Coast and Midwest.
“Sharing the stage with my amazing sisters is an absolute honor,” Khan offered via a press release. “Music is about connection, and this will be a celebration of the joy, power, and love that it brings to us all.”
LaBelle added, “I am so excited to join these icons, who I call sisters, on this tour! It’s going to be something special.”
