Dolly Parton has announced the autobiographical stage adaptation of her life’s story has received a world premiere date when it opens on Friday, July 18, at the Fisher Center, Nashville’s hub for the performing arts. The Music City premiere will come before Dolly: An Original Musical’s arrival on Broadway in 2026.

The production is slated to feature original music from Parton, ranging from fan favorites/hits adapted into musical scores and new material explicitly generated for the program. Parton, Danny Nozell, ATG Productions, and Gavin Kalin Productions produced Dolly: An Original Musical.

“I am Tennessee-born and raised, and Nashville has been my musical home for over 60 years. So, this is the right and perfect place to present the world premiere of my life story as a musical. Right here in Nashville, at the beautiful Belmont University’s Fisher Center,” Parton shared.

The Nashville run is slated to occur for four weeks, running until Sunday, August 17, 2026.

Tickets for Dolly: An Original Musical are on sale now at www.dollymusical.com or by calling the Fisher Center Box Office at 615 460 2255.
