Cloud 9 Adventures’ “Vote to the Boat” campaign is slated to return for the first time since 2010 during Jam Cruise’s 21st gathering, Feb. 14-19, onboard the MSC Divina. In partnership with HeadCount and Relix, the offering encourages fans to tag their favorite bands in social posts on Jam Cruise’s Instagram feed to help grab their attention and promote an added band to the impending floating festival lineup. Bands can also apply for inclusion through September 30.

Vote to the Boat is now open for bands to apply. Jam Cruise HQ will then select the first-round ballot. From there, an open fan vote will occur to narrow down to our finalists, at which point booked guests will vote for the winner. The winning band will perform one concert on Jam Cruise 21 and receive a stipend of $2500. Backline will be provided. While airfare to Miami is not included, all meals and select non-alcoholic beverages will supplied.

Jam Cruise 21 sets sail from Miami on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14 with planned stops in Cozumel, Mexico, and Belize City during the five-night experience. Taking a slot on the artist lineup are STS9, Snarky Puppy, Thievery Corporation, Galactic Ft. Jelly Joseph, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, LP Giobbi, Tank and the Bangas, Summer Zen (featuring Steve Kimock, George Porter Jr., Robert Walter, Lebo and John Morgan Kimock), ALO, Dragon Smoke and more.

Relix will be onboard this winter, popping up on the ship’s Pool Deck. Editor Hana Gustafson will guide the JamTalk conversation for the second year, following last year’s conversion with Remain in Light’s Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew.
