Decorated guitarist Joe Bonamassa has teamed up with Sixthman to announce the return of the world-famous floating blues-rock escape, Keeping The Blues Alive At Sea Alaska. The impending event is scheduled for September 15 through 21, 2025, setting sail from Seattle before heading North with stops slated for Ketchikan and Sitka, Alaska, and Victoria, B.C., abroad the Norwegian Jade. The initial artist lineup has been revealed as a preview of the event’s musical offerings.
Topping the list of forthcoming performers is host Bonamassa, who will take over the Stardust Theater for four unique concerts (limited to two shows per guest). Also signing on for the late summer occasion are Marcus King, Little Feat, Marc Broussard, The Record Company, The Heavy Heavy, Shemekia Copeland, Sue Foley, Nikki Hill, Larry McCray, Vanessa Collier, Jimmy Vivino, Jade MacRae, Ariel Posen, The Cold Stares, Jeremie Albino and Angelique Francis.
In addition to the impending voyage promise of memorable musical experiences, the event will present an array of activities, including exclusive artist collaborations, autograph sessions, and other activities. Unique to the Norwegian Jade, the cruise ship offers guests elevated dining experiences, pool deck and hot tubs, the Jade Club Casino, Mandara Spa, Body Waves Fitness Center, Sports Court, and other options to keep folks entertained between music sets.
Keeping The Blues Alive At Sea Alaska has partnered with Bonamassa’s 501(c)(3) non-profit organization Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation (KTBA), “dedicated to providing students, teachers, and musicians the resources and tools needed to further music education.”
