Previously, Stevie Wonder released a new single, “We Can Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart,” a response piece ahead of the 2024 U.S. election, calling it “joy over anger, kindness over recrimination, peace over war.” Looking to expand his influence during a particularly heated cycle of political back-and-forth, the artist known for “Sign, Sealed Delivered,” “Superstitious,” and countless others has tacked on a 10-stop tour leading up to voting day.
The highly decorated, 25-time Grammy winner, who was also bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2014 by then-President Barack Obama, will commence his tour on October 8 at PPG Paint Arena in Pittsburgh before making his way to New York City’s Madison Square Garden on October 10. Formally dubbed Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart, the 10-stop series continues at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center on October 12.
Wonder, who just last month performed at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, will take his tour to Baltimore on October 15 before an evening in Greensboro, N.C., on October 17, which will be followed by another strategic stop. Given the state of Georgia’s near gridlock status, in a very tight race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, the musician will take the stage in Atlanta on October 19.
Moving toward the country’s center, Wonder is scheduled to take the stage at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena on October 22, followed by Midwest follow-ups in Milwaukee, Wis. (Oct. 24), Minneapolis (Oct. 27) and Grand Rapids, Mich. (Oct. 20).
Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, Sept. 20 at noon E.T. For more information, visit www.steviewonder.net. Scroll down to view a list of dates and stream “We Can Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart.”
