God Street Wine has released a new song “Kristi Shot a Puppy.” In the single’s announce, the band describes the release “a sharp political satire taking aim at South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem” and a “pointed social commentary, blending dark humor and critique to address the disturbing story told by the South Dakota Governor.” The track features the classic GSW lineup of Lo Faber, Aaron Maxwell, Dan Pifer, Jon Bevo and Tom Osander.

In February, God Street Wine officially released Hot Sweet & Juicy, a full-length studio project originally tracked in 1998 that had long sat on the shelf. God Street Wine will regroup for a series of fall shows, including stops at Woodstock, NY’s Levon Helm Studios (9/20-21), New York’s Cutting Room (9/27) and Asbury Park, NJ’s Wonder Bar (9/28).
