The Savannah Music Festival has revealed the full artist lineup for its 2024 concert series, set to grace stages across Savannah, Ga. from March 28 to April 13. This year, the annual spring festival will host more than 75 performances from acclaimed artists across a wide range of genres, from blues and Americana, to jazz, funk, country, classical and global music. The 35th anniversary season of Georgia’s largest music event will be distinguished by performances from icons like Rosanne Cash, Chucho Valdés, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Samara Joy, Mighty Poplar and North Mississippi Allstars with Bobby Rush.
2024’s Savannah Music Festival will kick off on March 23 with the annual Spring Fling benefit, followed by a performance from recent Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Samara Joy. Through the next 17 days, the festival will find its focus in a vibrant selection of musicians from around the world, including Grammy-winning Malian Wassoulou singer Oumou Sangaré and Afro-Cuban jazz innovator Chucho Valdés, as well as distinctly American musical traditions, like the New Orleans funk of Rebirth Brass Band and Dumpstaphunk and tribute performances to legendary songwriters like Doc at 100 and Muddy and Wolf Revisited. Other highlights include the revered singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash with John Leventhal, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Mighty Poplar, Futurebirds and Brandee Younger Trio.
