This summer, Primus and Coheed and Cambria will team up for a co-headline tour spanning the US. From July 12 to Aug 17, the pair will bring their inimitable progressive rock prowess to 25 venues throughout the Northwest, Midwest and East Coast regions. This tour is bookended by 10 additional solo performances from Primus, which will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its formation this year.

Primus’ newly announced live dates begin on the East Coast, where the funk metal innovators will stage three performances in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and South Carolina on May 6-9 before heading to California for home state appearances in Paso Robles, Calif. And Highland, Calif. on July 7 and 9. On July 12, Coheed and Cambria will join the trio in Redding, Calif., kicking off the band’s shared tour with six Northwest dates, including appearances at Bend, Ore.’s Hayden Homes Amphitheater and Bonner, Mont.’s Kettlehouse Amphitheater, on July 13-22.

Next, the groups will move on to the Midwest for a total of ten regional engagements, including sets at Madison, Wisc.’s Breese Stevens Field and Columbus, Ohio’s KEMBA Live! on July 24 through August 6. After an August 8 show at Pittsburgh’s Stage AE, the tour turns north for three performances in Coheed and Cambria’s home state of New York on Aug. 9-12, followed by Portland, Maine on Aug. 13. The final leg of the co-headline tour will bring the groups down to the Southeast, where they will make appearances at Washington’s The Anthem on Aug. 14 and Richmond, Va.’s Richmond Raceway on August 16 before a final shared stage at Charlotte, N.C.’s Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre on Aug. 17.

For their joint tour, Primus and Coheed and Cambria will be joined by special guests Guerilla Toss, Too Many Zooz, Fishbone, Fantastic Negrito and All Them Witches.
