The Black Pumas announced their return to the stage with a new set of December tour dates. This will be the first time the duo has toured since the abrupt cancellation of their 2022 tour in August of last year.
The psychedelic-soul, Austin, Texas-based ensemble are expected to play four shows throughout their home state, kicking off the first two nights at the ACL Live in Austin on Dec. 5 and Dec. 6. The Black Pumas will then make their way through the Lone Star State with a show at The Factory in Dallas on Dec. 8, followed by the tour’s final performance at the House of Blues in Houston on Dec. 9.
All four shows will see Rochester, N.Y.-based lawyer turned musician Danielle Ponder support the band. The artist, who is known for her R&B and alternative inclinations, shared her debut LP, Some Of Us Are Brave, in 2022. Read Relix’s feature on Ponder here.
The Black Pumas newly announced tour comes just weeks after the announcement of the duo’s sophomore album, Chronicles Of A Diamond, marking the first album for the band in four years.
The presale for the December tour dates are available now, while the general tickets for the public will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. C.T. Learn more and find tickets here.
