On Friday, following a spectacular start to the band’s annual Colorado run with two nights at the scenic Dillon Amphitheater, The String Cheese Incident kicked off their three-night stint at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre with an electrifying event dubbed the “First-Ever John Fogerty Incident.”

Taking the stage with their signature lineup, the Colorado Music Hall of Famers treated the audience to a captivating set of original tunes, opening with a seamless flow of songs starting with “Outside and Inside,” “Lost,” “Shine,” and “Look at Where We Are.” The first set culminated with powerful renditions of “100 Year Flood” > “Close Your Eyes” and “Rollover” > “Rivertrance.”

Dispute an excellent opening set, the true incident began when, following an intermission, the band returned to the stage joined by none other than the legendary John Fogerty, frontman of Credence Clearwater Revival, and his son Shane.

The ensemble then embarked on a journey through a collection of CCR hits, including “Up Around The Bend,” “Lookin’ Out My Back Door,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?,” “Down on the Corner,” and “Fortunate Son,” each song imbued with the unmistakable touch of The String Cheese Incident’s unique musical flair, and Fogerty’s enduring super star energy. For the grand finale, The Fogerty Incident returned for an encore comprised of “Bad Moon Rising” and the timeless classic “Proud Mary.”

Notably, following Friday’s performance The String Cheese Incident carried on with several more nights of pristine music fitting for one of Colorado’s most iconic, ancient and celebrated venues.
