Joe Bonamassa has announced a spring 2024 tour in support of his forthcoming LP, Blues Deluxe Vol. 2. The three-time Grammy-nominated musician will commence his run on Feb. 19 in Louisville, Ky., before traveling up and down the East Coast in continuation of the 19-stop jaunt.
After a night in Kentucky, Bonamassa and his band will take a few nights off before popping up in Youngstown, Ohio, on Feb. 21, where they are scheduled to play at the Covelli Centre. A few evenings later, on Feb. 23, they’re expected on stage at the famed Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, N.J.
From there, they’ll bounce to Maryland before turning up in Durham, N.C., on Feb. 25, and Columbia, S.C., on Feb. 27. After shows in both Carolinas, Bonamassa will play at The Sandler Center in Virginia Beach, Va., the show marks their last gig of February.
March 1 is slated to feature the group at Roanoke, Va.’s Altria Theater, before an ensuing stand at Taft Theatre in Cincinnati, on March 2. A few days later, they’ll continue their tour with an additional stop in Virginia before embarking on Southern dates in Tennessee, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, and a return to South Carolina.
For the last stops of spring, Bonamassa will lead the group through a March 14 gig at Macon City Auditorium in Macon, Ga., followed by a show at the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando, Fla., the next evening. They’ll take a final stand at The Sound in Clearwater, Fla., before picking up an already-announced festival appearance during the destination concert event, Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea IX.
“If you had told me 20 years ago my career would last long enough to see the 20th anniversary of this little record called Blues Deluxe, I’m sure I would have laughed,” Bonamassa reflected via press release. “Blues Deluxe was my last shot after being dropped by two major record labels and my booking agent. It was then that my manager, Roy Weisman, had his first ‘all in’ moment. We would go back into the studio and record. A record that would hopefully define the direction of whatever future career I might have.”
A special fan pre-sale is scheduled to begin Tuesday, July 18, at 10 a.m. Public on-sale commences Friday, July 21, at 10 a.m. local time. For tickets, visit this link.
