Caamp announced today, its July 19 and 20 stint at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo., will be available for fans to enjoy from anywhere via livestream. With support from Carsie Blanton, Zach Nytomt, Lady Wray and Tucker Gill, the venue is anticipated to house two comprehensive nights of soulful alt-folk, both in person and over-the-screen through music livestream platform Veeps.
The livestream will cover both nights of Caamp’s Red Rocks return. The sold-out dates are expected to vary in style with July 19 featuring the tour’s first acoustic show, and July 20 continuing as a full band. The Ohio natives played back-to-back at Red Rocks in October 2022 for their Lavender Days album tour, each band member dressed to the nines in dapper lavender suits.
The Red Rocks run is enveloped in the group’s U.S. summer tour that started in May. The musicians will roll through major venues and festivals like Newport Folk Festival, Beach Road Weekend in Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., Chicago’s Salt Shed and more, after Caamp’s scenic two-night stand in Colorado.
Announcing in February the 2023 summer tour, the group wrote that some shows will be full acoustic sets. “We’re playin some favorite spots and some new ones too, plus a few special acoustic nights…! (If you yell freebird at these nights security will be summoned) ;),” an Instagram post read.
The Red Rocks shows will also give at-home viewers an opportunity to donate to the band’s recently established foundation, The Great Heights Movement, which supports social justice, music education and sustainability initiatives.
