On Saturday, Taylor Swift played the second of two shows at Pittsburgh, PA’s Acrisure Stadium as part of her Eras Tour. As he has on occasion during the run, The National’s Aaron Dessner made an unannounced appearance during the Surprise Song segment of Swift’s show. This time, Dessner emerged to play piano during the live debut of the folklore song “seven.”
The National multi-instrumentalist co-produced the LP during the depths of the pandemic.
Dessner, who is enjoying a short break during The National’s current world tour, previously joined Swift in Tampa, FL and Nashville.
Swift’s Eras Tour will resume in Minneapolis, MN on Friday.
