Today, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway have delivered the latest preview of their impending album, City of Gold, due out on July 21 via Nonesuch Records. The group’s new country-tinged single “Next Rodeo” was released alongside a visual equalizer captured by filmmaker Edgar Evan. Watch now.

Speaking about today’s release, Tuttle offered: “My song ‘Next Rodeo’ is all about traveling from show to show and chasing down a dream.” She continued, “So I wanted to showcase my band members and give the audience a glimpse of the personalities that make up Golden Highway. I love how this video captures the sense of friendship and camaraderie that is woven into our album, City of Gold. We had so much fun filming this video and hope you will enjoy coming along for the wild ride.” 

The forthcoming set of music was produced by the group namesake in partnership with Jerry Douglas and tracked at Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville, Tenn. The City of Gold record is comprised of 13 tracks, scribed by Tuttle and Old Crow Medicine Show’s Ketch Secor, which reflects on the band’s time on the road and their earn prestige–having won Best Bluegrass album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. 

The album showcases Tuttle on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, her co-producer, Douglas, also assists on Dobro, in addition to Gold Highway members: Bronwyn Keith Haynes (fiddle, harmony vocals), Dominick Leslie (mandolin), Shelby Means (bass, harmony vocals), Kyle Tuttle (banjo, harmony vocals) and special guest Dave Matthews who added to the track “Yosemite.”
