Pink Talking Fish have announced a pair of forthcoming concerts that will see the Boston–based jammers collaborate with Giant Country Horns, the group which accompanied Phish at 14 shows during their 1991 summer tour.
The newly announced performances will occur in December and arrive after fall dates for the ensemble, who will travel along the Eastern coastline leading up to their couple performances in late fall. The first will land on Dec. 1, when the headliners take the stage at Higher Ground in Burlington, Vt. Then, they’ll follow up the next night, Dec. 2, at The Colonial Theatre in Keene, N.H.
The aforementioned location holds a shared history for the horn section and Phish, who performed there during their 1991 tour, later released on Live Phish. At the newly announced concerts, Pink Talking Fish will gig alongside Dave “The Truth” Grippo, Carl “Gears” Gerhard, and Russel “Killer” Remington, who was apart of Phish’s original horn section, having performed live and in the studio with the Trey Anastasio-led mainstays.
