Yesterday, Feb. 18, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds continued their destination concert event at Moon Palace Hotel in Cancún, Mexico. The Saturday stand featured a selection of originals and a sprinkling of choice covers, including a live debut of Led Zeppelin’s “D’yer Mak’er,” which arrived just after the main frame’s halfway point.

The South of the Border display kicked off with Matthews’ solo delivery of the Tex Ritter penned “Rye Whiskey,” prior to a take on the John Denver number, “Take Me to Tomorrow.” After the previously mentioned song, Reynolds joined his longtime collaborator on stage, and the duo moved into “Bartender,” followed by “Walk Around the Moon” and “What Would You Say.”

“Too High” came before fan favorite “Crush,” then the musicians picked up “Dodo,” “Fool to Think” and “Where Are You Going.” Next, Reynolds performed a solo take on his tune, “Che,” before Matthews joined his friend on stage to continue their stacked set and rolled through “Virginia in the Rain.”

“The Ocean and the Butterfly” preluded the night’s live debut, a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “D’yer Mak’er,” a song that initially appeared on the British rock group’s fifth studio album, Houses of the Holy. To follow, the duo played “Warehouse,” “I’ll Back You Up,” “Betrayal,” “Out of My Hands” and “The Maker.”

“Old Dirt Hill (Bring That Beat Back)” and “Squirm” came before the final song of the main frame, “Dancing Nancies.” Next, Matthews took the stage for a solo encore run-through of “Something to Tell My Baby.” Then, Reynolds arrived for the final songs of the show, which saw the pair of musicians take on “Monsters” and “Grey Street.”

After Saturday’s concert, the event’s hosts will deliver their final frame of music this evening at 8:30 p.m. E.T., on the Beach Stage.
