Polyrhythmics, the progress funk, psych-rock and modern Afro-beat eight-piece have announced their plans for New Year’s Eve. The group shared that in celebration of the impending holiday, they will take the stage at the Aladdin Theatre in Portland, Ore., on Dec. 31. 

The performance, which has been dubbed, The Bridgetown Boogie, will feature contributions from guest vocalist Adryon de León (Orgone, Matador! Soul Sounds). The event promises “a New Year’s Eve dance party of choice cuts, deep tracks, and rare grooves.” Moreover, the show will also include a selection of the group’s original material and covers. 

Prior to the ensemble’s celebration– Ben Bloom (guitar), Grant Schroff (drums), Nathan Spicer (keyboard), Jason Gray (bass), Scott Morning (trumpet), Elijah Clark (trombone), Art Brown (saxophone, flute) and Karl Olson (percussions) will embark on a fall tour, beginning on Sept. 30 at the Capitol Theater in Olympia, Wash.
