Billy Strings has shared details behind his 2022 North American tour. The artist has revealed venue and ticket information for the run, which will start at Renewal in Buena Vista, Colo., on Sept. 23 and 24.

After two nights of Colorado shows, the Grammy-nominated musician will travel to The Golden State for four concerts, beginning on Sept. 24 at Sacramento Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento, Calif. From there, he’ll head to Stanford, Calif., for a gig a the fabled Frost Amphitheater on Sept. 30. 

He’ll follow up with an appearance at Ohana Fest in Dana Point, Calif., before a performance at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Oct. 2. Next, Strings’ will pop up at Austin City Limits Festival on Oct. 14, in Austin, Texas, before a gig at The Criterion in Oklahoma City, Okla., the following night. 

Then, the musician will take two weeks off the road before continuing his tour in Asheville, N.C., at Arena on Oct. 29 through 31. Just over the weekend, the artist performed a gig in Doc Watson’s home state at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, N.C., where he paid homage to the bluegrass great with a take on the Watson-recorded “Sadie.” Watch the fan-shot video here

Continuing with the fall run, Strings will trek to Kalamazoo, Mich. – 90 miles outside the his hometown of Muir, Mich. – for a show at Wings Event Center on Nov. 3. Then, the ensemble will swing through the East Coast through the latter half of November, performing gigs in Rochester, N.Y., Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., before Strings’ European tour kick-off on Nov. 29 in Oslo, Norway. 

Additionally, Strings recently shared that his two-night New Year’s Eve run will take place in New Orleans, and he will reveal the venue for the shows in the coming weeks. Prior to today’s reveal, Strings appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers last night. The musician performed “The Fire On My Tongue,” from his acclaimed, Grammy-nominated 2021 album, Renewal, alongside his band – bassist Royal Masat, mandolinist Jarrod Walker and banjoist Billy Failing – and Alex Hargreaves, who sat in on fiddle for the occasion.
