The Disco Biscuits brought their City Bisco event to a close last night with a pair of completely segued shows. The group took the stage at Philadelphia’s Mann Center for the Performing Arts and kicked things off with “We Like To Party.” They then completed “Spacebirdmatingcall” from Saturday, before moving into “Freeze,” “Anthem” and “Above The Waves.”

In his recent site interview, guitarist Jon Gutwillig mentioned how excited he was to have LP Giobbi on this year’s lineup so it is no surprise that the band spotlighted her during their show. LP Giobbi DJed between Disco Biscuits sets and all four members of the group then joined her on-stage for a jam that led directly into their second set. From there, the evening’s headliners moved into “Lake Shore Drive,” the debut of the new original ” A Chance To Save The World,”  “Confrontation,” “Space Train” and the old favorite “Morph Dusseldorf.” (The Disco Biscuits have debuted a new song every show this run.)

The evening closed out with an encore consisting of their signature cover of Pink Floyd’s “Run Like Hell,” Joe Russo’s Almost Dead guitarist Tom Hamilton, a longtime collaborator of the band, sat in on both “Morph Dusseldorf” and “Run Like Hell.”

The Disco Biscuits will perform at Electric Forest on June 23.
