In support of a brand new feature film, Take Me to the River New Orleans, and a new record of the same name, New Orleans musical collective the Take Me to the River All-Stars have announced two shows at the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, N.Y., on May 12 and the Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on May 18.

The shows, which are presented by Relix, will feature Dumpstaphunk’s Ivan Neville and Ian Neville, along with legendary pianist Jon Cleary, Galactic’s Rob Mercurio and iconic percussionist known for his work with the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Terence Higgins.

The Take Me to the River New Orleans film is set to release at select theaters on April 22, and the LP will release the following week, on April 29. The Brooklyn Bowl performances will also be in support of The Take Me to the River Education Initiative, a 501c3 non-profit with the aim to create social consciousness dedicated to providing music education to all.
