Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros continued their tour last night in Wichita, Kan., performing at The Orpheum. The ensemble debuted “Mexicali Blues” and paid homage to their surroundings with “Jack Straw.”

Set one kicked off with “Cassidy,” which segued into “Birdsong.” Up next, Weir led the band through Bob Dylan’s “When I Paint My Masterpiece” before turning things up with a rousing rendition of “Brown Eyed Women.”

Things slowed back down with a soulful “Peggy-O” before getting funky on “Catfish John.” Then, Wolf Bros debuted a number off Ace, “Mexicali Blues,” which was last played on June 9, 2018, with Dead & Co.

Before concluding the first set, the band broke into “Jack Straw,” bringing the audience to their feet with the site-specific lyrics, “Jack Straw from Wichita/ Cut his buddy down.” After a break, the ensemble kicked off set two with “Me & My Uncle,” followed by “He’s Gone,” which segued into “Estimated Prophet.”

Next up, Weir & Wolf Bros played “Truckin’” before busting into a monumental “Terrapin Station Suite,” which segued into the San Francisco ballad, “Wharf Rat.” Set two came to a close with a lively “Going Down The Road Feeling Bad.”

For their encore, the band played “Touch of Grey.” Tonight, Weir and the Wolf Pack will perform at Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland in Kansas City, Mo. Tickets are still available and can be purchased here.
