Mill Valley, a small city 14 miles north of San Francisco via the Golden Gate Bridge, has announced a brand-new all-ages one-day event called the Mill Valley Music Festival. The event is scheduled to commence at Friends Field, next to the Mill Valley Community Center, on May 7.
For their inaugural jamboree, Mill Valley Music Festival will welcome a diverse lineup of national touring acts including, Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals, Liz Cooper, Lettuce, Los Amigos Invisibles and La Doña. They’ll also welcome local talent to their redwood tree-lined community that is considered one of the most picturesque mountain towns in Northern California.
“There’s no doubt that these past few years have been incredibly rough for all of us,” said Jim Welte, director of the Mill Valley’s Chamber of Commerce, in a press release. “We can’t wait to celebrate the resilience of Mill Valley, Marin County, and the entire Bay Area, and the vital role the Bay plays in the vibrancy of the Golden State – all set to an amazing, day-long soundtrack of fantastic music and an abundance of incredible food, drink, and art while spending an afternoon with your best friends and ones you’ve yet to meet.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. PST. Find tickets here.
