Andrew Bird and Iron & Wine have announced they’ll be going on a co-headlining tour in the summer of 2022. The tour will take place from June through August and stretch from coast to coast.

The run of shows touted as the “Outside Problems” summer tour will bring the artists to more than 25 shows at storied venues like New York City’s Pier 17, Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and more. The tour will also feature multiple stops in Iron & Wine’s home state of North Carolina and Andrew Bird’s native city Chicago.

“It will have been more than two years of being grounded when we finally embark on the ‘Outside Problems’ summer tour,” said Andrew Bird in a press release. “90% outdoor venues. A fine road companion in Iron & Wine. I only wish it could happen sooner. I’m not sure why it took so long for me to meet Sam Beam. His music I have known and admired for many years now. What a lovely guy. The kind of guy that would help you move. See you on the outside.”

Back in fall, the two musicians came together in Yosemite for a pair of performances that brought support to the country’s beautiful national parks.

Iron & Wine, a.k.a. Sam Beam, added in the press release, “Really looking forward to sharing the night with Andrew Bird for the Outside Problems Tour – our relationship started outside in Yosemite and bringing that into 2022 is exciting. And I’m happy to help Andrew move, but I might try to talk him into just staying put first!”

Tickets for the “Outside Problems” summer tour go on sale on Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. EST. Find tickets here.
