Four members of the Ominous Seapods will come together for a pair of shows at Albany, N.Y.’s The Hollow on Feb. 11 and 12. Billed as The Seapods, the group will consist of classic members of the ’90s jamband: Max Verna (guitar, vocals), Tom Pirozzi (bass), Brian Mangini (keyboards) and Ted Marotta (drums). The fifth classic member of the group, guitarist/singer Dana Monteith, currently lives in Australia and is unable to make the gigs.

A note from the group reads, “Dana couldn’t make the trip from Australia just yet, but the four of us will be digging deep into the Seapods catalogue and pulling out plenty of surprises!”

Ominous Seapods officially parted ways in 2001 but have reunited periodically over the years, as recently as 2018. The group’s rhythm section is currently backing Lo Faber on the road.
