The Slip performed the second night of their ongoing tour at the Fête Music Hall in Providence, R.I. The trio laid down a setlist loaded with classic tracks, covers and fresh material.

They started the show with the opening track of their 2002 Rykodisc debut Angels Come On Time, “Landing,” and seamlessly moved into oldie “Trane-ing.” They then jammed from “The Original Blue Air” > “Paper Birds.” During the set, they performed the live debut of their newest single, “Superterranian Onlyness.” They closed the set with their beloved track, “Even Rats.”

The Slip kicked off their second set with “Hit Song,” after which they played “Chasing Rabbits,” “Motherwolf,” “Sometimes True to Nothing,” and “Aptos.” They closed the set with “Autobody Experience” > “The Weight” > “Dogs on Bikes”; the latter two tracks served as their encore for their show the night before.

They encored with their euphonious Christmas song “Children of December,” which came off their 2004 album Live at Lupo’s.
