On Oct. 3, members of Drive-By Truckers – Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley – reunited with former bandmate Jason Isbell at Alabama’s ShoalsFest.

Clearly, the musicians were feeling nostalgic as DBT originally formed in The Shoals region of the state, and they tapped into some Isbell-era tunes at the tail-end of his 400 Unit set, namely “Outfit” and “Decoration Day” (Isbell played with DBT from 2001-2007).

Elsewhere at the festival, Isbell returned the favor, joining Drive-By Truckers for a version of “Heathens.”
