On Sept. 15, The Black Crowes spiced up their Xfinity Center gig in Mansfield, Mass. with a sit-in by Peter Wolf of J. Geils Band.

“If you want to hear good rock and roll it starts at home,” Wolf declared after stepping onstage. “I am so honored to be here tonight.”

Wolf then joined the Robinsons for “Cry One More Time” (a J. Geils Band tune, later covered by Gram Parsons) and “Looking For A Love” (a Bobby Womack tune, that turned into a Top 40 hit for J. Geils Band).
