Big Thief shared two new tracks today, one titled “Little Things” the other is aptly named, “Sparrow.”

“Little Things” was recorded at the Five Star Studios in Topanga, Calif. with 5-time Grammy winner Shawn Everett, who is known for his work with Alabama Shakes, Kacey Musgraves, The War on Drugs, and Julian Casablancas. The song was recorded in October of 2020.

“Sparrow” was recorded with Sam Evian at Flying Cloud Recordings in Catskill Mountains of New York in July and August of 2020.

Both songs were produced by Big Thief’s drummer James Krivchenia. These releases mark the first new material from the band since 2019’s album Two Hands.

The band will be going on a U.S. tour, beginning on Aug. 21, making stops at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago and The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City.
